Meet the Rest of the Team

At this stage in my life, I do not need to mince words about my record and accomplishments. My clients have recovered millions of dollars after hiring me to represent them. I’ve had victories in nearly every court system in this State, including multiple wins in the Nebraska Supreme Court. I enjoy what I do. I understand that money is the only way to change things for my clients and to force change upon self-interested corporations, dangerous drivers and their unscrupulous insurance carriers.

My grandfather, Robert E. Wear, taught me that people matter. He showed me—by listening, by leading with kindness, and by treating strangers with the same dignity and respect with which he treated his own family—that how you treat others is what truly counts in this life. Though he passed away while I was in college, his example will never leave me. His belief that every human life has equal value is the foundation of how I practice law.

My father and law partner, Richard J. Rensch, showed me what that belief looks like in action. On top of his kind and caring nature – Richard has always been a competitor. In life and in work, he has a strong sense of justice and fights tooth and nail to achieve it for his clients. Growing up under his tutelage, I witnessed, first-hand, the skill, dedication and hard work that is required by a lawyer who represents injured people. In 2007, I joined him in this work and discovered it is more than a profession—it is a calling. Representing injured people means fighting for the underdog against powerful insurance companies and corporations. Like my father, I take that responsibility seriously and relish the opportunity to fight for my clients. I will continue to learn, and I will continue to fight for justice for injured Nebraskans for as long as my body and mind will allow.

I’ve practiced law in Nebraska since graduating from Creighton University School of Law in 2004, focusing exclusively on litigation for injured Nebraskans and Iowans. My career began at the Douglas County Public Defender’s Office, where I learned firsthand what it means to defend the downtrodden. That experience help shape who I am as a trial lawyer and advocate.

Finally, it would be big mistake for me to fail to mention my late wife, Susie Rensch, who died in 2025, after an arduous battle with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer. She was only 45 years old at the time of her death, but her strength and courage – in the face of unspeakable pain and certain death—was truly something to behold. I will never go a day without thinking of her. My hope is that the courage she showed me will live on through my life, my work and how I continue to raise our three daughters, Haley, Olivia and Charlotte. [Note: if you wish to learn more about my wife, feel free to read her obituary.]
