First off I would like to say that i, at times, can be very hard to work with, and My Rensch went above and beyond...I mean ABOVE AND BEYOND, any expectation I had for a workmans comp attorney. Sean and his team are great people to work with. I had an incident a while back involving a collision with livestock in the road. After reaching out to several other offices and being rejected by all of them, I contacted Rensch and Rensch and my call was promptly returned. Shortly after opening the case I was scheduled to ship to basic training for the Marine Corps. I am a car accident victim. I am also an attorney who represents clients in litigation in Omaha, Nebraska. I’ve been practicing law in this town and trying cases in front of Nebraska juries for over 20 years. In 2015, on my way to work in downtown Omaha, a woman ran a stop sign and crashed her vehicle into the passenger side of my car. This was not a minor impact. A few years ago, I was involved in a crash on the interstate in Omaha. I had stopped in busy traffic behind at least two other stopped vehicles. The cars were all stopped behind another woman who was picking something up off the middle of the roadway. Unfortunately for me, the man driving behind me failed to stop and slammed his van directly into the back of my vehicle. Why was everyone else able to stop, but not the guy behind me?! I had been nearly killed in a prior accident and had surgery on my neck. Due to that old crash and my already injured neck, I was especially worried. I was in pain and followed my doctors orders. I had a lot of physical therapy. I figured I would be able resolve the insurance claim on my own. How wrong could I have been?! I felt like I was victimized all over again when I got the “final” offer from the bad driver’s insurance company. I could not believe how they tried to throw my old neck injury back in my face. They refused to pay for most of my physical therapy because they said I did not need it. Seriously?! The adjuster seemed to be telling me she knew more about me and my health than my own doctors. She tried to make me feel ashamed for making a claim. I felt belittled. I needed help and I needed it in a big way. That is when I sought out Rensch & Rensch Law. Sean jumped right on the case. He laid out in detail for the adjuster all of factual errors she made in responding to my claim. Sean filed the lawsuit against the guy who hit me. The guy actually denied the accident was his fault and instead, placed all of the blame on the woman who picked something up off the interstate. She and all other drivers left the scene so no one ever knew her name. It was the beginning of a saga that last several years. Sean sued my own insurance company in the same lawsuit. We ended up settling, first, with my own insurance company for way more money than the bad driver’s insurance ever offered. We continued to fight against the bad driver and his insurance company. Finally, late afternoon, the day before the jury trial was going to start, the lawyer for the guy who hit me called Sean and the guy’s insurance company finally offered a fair settlement. Sean was relentless on my behalf the whole time. He was also creative enough to get two settlements out of the same case. I did not want to go to trial, but Sean had me prepared for it. Luckily, we did not have to waste three more days of my life in a nerve wracking jury trial. I am glad to be done, but I know I had the best lawyers in town. That is the reason my case worked out. The funny thing is, I would have settled for a lot less had the other driver’s insurance company treated me with any decency in the beginning. My fiancé and I, along with our children, were involved in a horrific car crash on October 14, 2017. There are moments in life where you think that the world is falling apart. I thank my lucky stars that they led me to the Rensch and Rensch law firm several months ago. Sean Rensch expertly directed the appeal process against a well-known insurance company regarding my father-in-law’s denied assisted living claim. Sean provided great communication and follow-up, keeping my husband and I fully informed throughout every step of the process. At our first meeting, Sean explained what to expect from the insurer and what would be required of the assisted living facility, as well as the family to provide to progress through the appeal process. Sean worked well with the necessary witnesses, including my father-in-law’s doctor and the director of nursing at the assisted living facility. The insurer has repealed the denial and paid in full, including retroactively. If I ever have to fight with my own insurance company or require legal services of another nature, I will not hesitate to call Rensch and Rensch. I trust them implicitly – they’re not only “good people”, but have the education and knowledge to back it up.
